What is Domain Registration?
Domain registration is the process of aquiring a domain name, essentially the "web address" at which your business can be found online. e.g. www.yourbusiness.co.nz.
Aquiring a domain name involves opening an account with a domain registar, a company that has the authority to register domain names. Login credentials (username and password) are issued and an annual fee is payable. The domain also needs to be set up with the correct DNS Records so that it "points" to the server where your website is hosted.
Like most things, domain registration, annual renewal and DNS configuration isn't especially difficult - if it's something that you do on a regular basis. But if you're anything like most of our clients, you've probably got better things to do than selecting a domain registrar, registering for yet another account with its associated login credentials (that you'll likely forget) so that you can sign in once a year (after running through the password reset process) to enter your credit card details (again) to pay for your domain renewal.
indie.web: Domain Reseller
As a domain reseller, indie.web takes care of the registration and annual renewal process on your behalf. We register your domain(s) in your name under our reseller account and you simply receive an annual invoice.
